Available Funding Sources

Below is a list of funding sources available to help make your church more accessible. If you find any more please let us know!

National Church Trust

We support a wide variety of projects at churches, chapels and meeting houses through our grant programmes. Our grants are available to any Christian place of worship in the UK that is open for regular worship.

From repairing a roof to helping to install an accessible toilet – and many other projects – our grants help keep churches open for worship and community activities and allow them to continue to serve people and communities in all sorts of ways.

Our ‘Community Grants’ are for installing essential facilities – such as kitchens and toilets – and improving access for all.

The National Lottery Community Fund (Scotland)

A quick way to apply for funding between £300 and £10,000 to support what matters to people and communities. Applications should do at least one of the following:

  • bring people together and build strong relationships in and across communities

  • improve the places and spaces that matter to communities

  • help more people to reach their potential, by supporting them at the earliest possible stage.

We know people, communities and organisations are facing increased demands and challenges as a result of the cost-of-living crisis. If you would like to talk to us about a project in response to this, please get in touch at advicescotland@tnlcommunityfund.org.uk
