Accessible Friendly Church Scheme
Our new training package is designed to help your church assess its accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
The program begins with an evaluation of your church’s current facilities and resources. Next, we provide Disability Awareness training, followed by a focus on the two most common disabilities encountered in churches: dementia and sensory loss. We will also explore how to support individuals with neurodiversity.
The final session will focus on the importance of caring for caregivers and how to apply the knowledge gained throughout the training.
The entire training takes around 5 hours and can be completed at a pace that suits your needs.

Our projects have three strands:
- Reachout Inclusion – raising churches’ awareness of how to achieve disability inclusion.
- Reachout Everyone – reaching out to wider communities to show disabled people of all ages that churches extend a welcome to everyone.
- Reachout in God – providing opportunities for non-traditional worship formats for people best served by alternative settings and worship styles.
